BMD Global supports the National Thrombosis Week

Tony Armstrong – MD of BMD Global, recently supported the Life Blood UK wide national thrombosis awareness week campaign, by attending the road shows at Portsmouth Alexandra Hospital and Southampton General Hospital.

‘The challenge was very simple,’ Tony said. ‘All we had to do was to hand out leaflets to staff, patients and visitors in an effort to raise awareness of this potentially life-threatening condition and of course, how to prevent it happening in the first place!’

‘The only slight hiccup during the day was when I handed out a balloon to a small child who then promptly bounced over the top of it and we almost had an extra admission to A&E!’ he quipped. ‘Fortunately the child's mother was quick off the mark and saved her offspring from any injury, so all was well in the end!’

‘Life Blood is truly a great charity and a cause which we wholeheartedly support as a company’ he continued – ‘Having suffered personally from this condition almost 20 years ago, I am very aware of how a little bit of knowledge can go a very long way in spotting any early signs, so that they can be acted upon quickly, simply and effectively - and of course, ultimately to try and do something to help save lives!’

‘We look forward to next year's road show with great anticipation!’ - he remarked.

BMD Global supports the Vehicle's Strategies Club!

'The Vehicle Strategies Membership Club, which is designed primarily for the SME market and provides a platform to deliver cost-effective solutions to any UK business operating almost any vehicle is a brilliant idea’ - said Tony Armstrong, MD of BMD Global at the recent inaugural VS Club Franchisee Development Day.

‘Not only does the club provide your business with immediate cost savings on things like fuel, tyres, insurance and repairs/breakdown recoveries and so on at prices that previously only the big fleet operators could negotiate, but the team at Vehicle Strategies can really help you in so many other ways too,’ he enthused!

‘In partnership with your business,’ he continued.. ‘they will develop vital strategies for all your automotive needs - capitalising on all the eco-friendly opportunities that are out there in the marketplace, while mitigating any risks that may exist, in this increasingly and litigious world that we live in!’

‘Whether vehicles (cars or vans) are company owned or employee owned - which is an increasing challenge for many UK businesses, when employees use their own car on company business,’ he highlighted, ‘there are many benefits and added value services which members can take advantage of the very moment they join the club, all for a very nominal monthly amount - which more than pays for itself in overall savings for their company.’

‘We are very proud to be working alongside Jeff Lester – CEO and Founder (pictured centre right) and all the Vehicle Strategies Club team and we look forward to a fruitful partnership as the business continues to grow.’ He said.

BMD Global produces first bespoke Guide to Successful Selling.

After several months of joint development with our client, Treasure Trails - BMD Global has produced its first, ‘In house' Guide to Successful Selling, which is an interactive publication, specifically written for their UK wide licensees.

In partnership with Treasure Trails Directors, Steve and Teresa Ridd and their in-house Design Consultant, Aaron Hutchens, we have produced a first-class publication of some 15 chapters, featuring a comprehensive range of practical advice, tools and ideas on all aspects of selling in the ‘real world.' Indeed, it can be used by any licensee, regardless of what stage they are at in the development of their own business.

So, whether new to selling or have been in selling for years, there are literally hundreds of things in there that can be picked up and applied at any level, advanced or basic. Ultimately, the book is all about delivering new, innovative ideas to help them fast track their business development activities and rapidly improve their sales and bottom line profits.

Recently, Tony Armstrong – MD of BMD Global presented ‘How to Capitalise on the Moment of Engagement when Selling at Trade Shows,' for all UK wide Treasure Trailers attending their annual Sales Conference in Bournemouth, which was very well received by all delegates.

The conference was also the launch pad to introduce the new ‘Treasure Trails Guide to Successful Selling' for the gathered ensemble and the book will form the basis of ongoing business and sales development activities for all Treasure Trails licensees over the coming months.

BMD Global launches a brand new and exclusive ‘Virtual Networking’ group called BMD Global Jump Start!....

Why the name? We just thought it represents what we are trying to achieve, that is……..

‘To use the collective experiences of the whole group to ‘jumpstart’ fresh thinking and action in key areas of Sales and Management for our businesses’

‘To deliver a dramatic increase in profitable business for member companies, through discussion of real-world interventions that can be taken.’

‘For the exclusive benefit of members within the BMD Global Jump Start! Group.’

I am constantly reminded of the fact that in our day-to-day discussions we have with key customers and contacts, there is a huge level of talent out there at a very senior level in many companies and industry sectors. And I just thought it would be a great idea if we had a trusted forum to ‘air’ challenges that we face and to share them with others, to seek their suggestions/views and opinions/ best practices on the issues we face, to help each other!

This is purely a networking group, exclusively for customers and contacts of BMD Global and I think you will see already from the quality of the uptake so far, that this is something we will want to preserve going forward, so that everybody benefits from quality exchanges of ideas at the very highest level of British Industry.
